报告题目:SPH Simulations of 3D Dam-Break Flow Against Various Forms of the Obstacle

报告摘要: 

In this talk, we will introduce the smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method to simulate 3D dam-break flows against various forms of the obstacle. In order to tackle boundaries of irregular shapes involved in the obstacle, both wall and dummy particles are adopted, in which dummy particles are arranged by a particle packing algorithm which allows the attainment of a regular particle distribution. To validate the SPH method, 3D dam-break flow against a vertical wall is first simulated, and the SPH results are compared with the experiment and those obtained by other numerical methods. Then, we extend the method to 3D dam-break flows against various forms of the obstacle. It is demonstrated that the arc obstacle with the arc angle β = 60° may be selected as one of the optimal forms of the obstacle for reducing the collision force of the fluid after the dam breaks. The maximum pressure on this obstacle surface is less than ~ 40% of a right-angled obstacle.


报告人简介:

许晓阳,西安科技大学教授、博士生导师。2014年博士毕业于西北工业大学应用数学专业;2017-2019年任加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学数学系visiting associate professor。主要从事Navier-Stokes方程的数值解法、计算流体动力学、无网格SPH方法等领域的研究,承担国家自然科学基金面上项目、青年项目、省部级(人才)及各类纵向项目8项,发表SCI论文20篇,其中JCR一区论文10余篇、ESI高被引论文(全球前 1%)1篇。获“陕西省优秀博士学位论文”奖;入选陕西省“高层次人才特殊支持计划”青年拔尖人才、陕西省青年科技新星、陕西省科协青年托举人才;JCP、CMAME、AMC等20余种SCI期刊审稿人。
